This is a meeting to identify and address the impractical county
codes which unreasonably affect the local valley.
A community plan will be developed for presentation to the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.
Residents of Newberry Springs are urged to attend and to help establish a list the county
ordinances that conflict with rural living and which cause an undue burden and financial hardship. Residents of
Daggett and Yermo are welcome to attend.
Priorities are, but not limited to:
Water tank requirements.
Cargo shipping containers.
Lighting (dark night skies).
Noise abatement.
Curb and gutter requirements.
Alternative requirements to paving.
Discretion of building inspectors.
Cottage Industry Regulations.
Standards for Zoning, Water, Sewage, Kennels, etc.
Fee schedules.
October's meeting was a non-meeting with only 4 people in attendence.
